For most of my paintings the foundation is traditional oil paint, but I sometimes add a special touch. Here are two of my paintings with that special added touch.
Oil on canvas board together with red and green fluorescent paint, 22" x 18"
This painting has appeared in two different exhibitions sponsored by the Maryland Federation of Art, but with the original title slightly altered to better align with exhibition themes. I titled the painting as "Red Light, Green Light ... Foggy Night" for one show, and title of the the painting in the second was "Stormy Stop."
Oil on canvas board, with wafer ice creme cone, 14.5" x 18.5"
A real wafer ice creme cone (softened with water and shaped to align with the painting's meltdown theme) provides a three-dimensional humorous double-meaning to this painting.
The painting was selected for a 2019 exhibit sponsored by the Maryland Federation of Art and was inspired by the 1979 Three Mile Island nuclear accident in the state of Pennsylvania.
